Lately we’ve been getting a lot more rain, which means we’ve been hitting muddy trails pretty often. It got me thinking. If you regularly take your Jeep onto dirt roads, mud, or wet terrain, how often do you actually clean your vehicle?

Some off road friends I know wash their rigs right after every trip. Mainly to prevent rust, protect suspension components, and keep mud from drying into places it probably shouldn’t be. Others just let the dirt stay for a while and only clean it once noises start showing up or the mud buildup gets a little out of control. And of course, you know some people feel a dirty rig simply looks more authentic.

I know dirt is part of the fun. Still, there’s always that maintenance anxiety in the back of my mind. Especially when thinking about salt, moisture, and debris sitting around bolts, skid plates, and undercarriage parts. But at the same time, pressure washing everything after every trip almost feels like overdoing it.

So I’m curious how everyone here handles it.

· Do you wash your rig immediately after every off road trip, once a week, or only when it really needs it?
· Do you focus on cleaning the undercarriage, or just give it a quick rinse and call it good?
· For those who run mud or snow often, have you noticed any long term differences depending on how often you clean?

Would love to hear real habits and experiences from Jeep owners here.

As soon as I am done. Then again, and again, as the mud never comes off.
