Old thread but I was researching other's reactions. I found the acceleration on the stock Rubicon 2020 JLU to be surprisingly faster than expected when I got it last week.
This week I put the mopar lift and 37" KO2s with the mopar beadlock 17" wheels and it was a SIGNIFICANT difference in acceleration. 2 nights ago my buddy was impressed with how zippy it was. I think that is the end of that. Almost regretted doing it but realized I had the tube doors in the back, took them out and it got a bit better, but it is definitely a tradeoff.
My other 2 cars are a GT3 and an 800hp challenger so I'm sensitive to these things. Before the Challenger I had a 92 bronco on 32"s with a lift and it was dog slow. While I loved it I had flashbacks when I heard the engine rev up high and I was going nowhere fast. It is still faster than the Bronco by far though.
