I need to replace my Warren Fairhead but I don’t have a specific tool to remove or hold the nut in such a confined tight space.
Can anyone help me?
The Warren Fairhead is mounted to a factory installed steel bumper.

Unfortunately, in my experience, you need to remove the front bumper. Removal is easy, if you have the tools to access the inner set of bumper mount nuts on either side of the winch. Reinstalling the bumper is a little more frustrating. Depending on how well the holes for the frame horns and your winch plate line up. Plenty of videos out there on bumper removal and installation.

An offset box end wrench might help, if you can get it in far enough, but then you run the risk of dropping the nut and washer inside the bumper, where you can’t get to them. Reinstall could use the same method, but use something sticky like fun-tak to stick the nut and washer to the wrench until you get the bolt through it.

I believe you have put me on the right path. I would think I’m not the only person who needs a tool for tight and hard to get to places.
The ideal tool would be shaped like an “L” with an option to extend and lock the length of the shorter leg with an adjustable locking mechanism for clamping on to and holding in place while on the exposed end is being turned to loosen.
Thank you for your help
