HotHead Headliner + Dynamat Dynaliner

Has anyone tried this combo? I see that Hotheads sells their Sound Assissin Strips to place into the recessed channels on the Hardtop (shown below). I was thinking it might be more effective to use something thicker like Dynaliner to match the channel depth and entirely fill in the channel. Then Hothead panel on top of that. Seems better to me.
