Being “worth it” is an opinion. If I really wanted that Jeep and finally found one on a lot, then I would think it is worth it in the current market.

Too pricey. It’s a Willys Sport, the base model. A Willys has power windows/locks and LED head/fog lights.

But, the market is tough right now. It is as close to new as it can be. How much is a new one just like it?

This is without a doubt the WORST time in automotive history to buy a used car. Used car prices are up 20%-40% over what they normally are valued at. Anyone who buys a used car at current prices will loose that inflated 20%-40% PLUS any normal depreciation when the market returns to normal. That combined depreciation will easily be more than the normal depreciation of a new vehicle.

A new vehicle is a better buy today. You also have more leverage with a new ordered Wrangler today. Tell your buddy to have some patience and order a brand new one exactly the way he wants it. He should be able to get 4%-8% under invoice from a few of the dealers mentioned on this forum. Plus he will get a fresh new car warranty and 36 months of free service.

You can find better deals then that especially for a two door. I would use auto trader and type in what your looking for.

Everything, used 2-door and 4-doors, are insanely high now. I sold my '19 JLR for more than what I originally paid 2.5 years ago. The dealer sold it for more than the original MSRP. That was in the last 2-3 weeks. Great time to sell but the worst possible time to buy a used car.

Thats why you shop. I sold my 20 Gladiator Sport S 5k more then what I bought it for then got 4k off on the Rubicon Gladiator. 9k swing for doing nothing. My point is you shop around. 39 for a two door is stupid. The Willies doesn't add any value over a Sport. If you shop around even in this market you will find something way better priced. Shoot you could buy a new two door in this market for cheaper guaranteed. May have to travel but you will find something cheaper.

Agree with others price, deal is bad. Why not order brand new for less money? Also suggest Willys not Willys Sport. My 4 door Willys nicely equipped sticker was 48k and I paid 43k. The 2 door knocks off like another 4k+.

It has nothing to do with 2-door or 4-door. The 2-door and 4-door have very close resale value. My strong recommendation is to order a NEW JL or JLU. I sold my '19 JLR and am ordering a brand new one. I was paid to drive my JLR for 2.5 years. A 2022 will be 3 model years newer for probably a couple of thousand more. I could order a 2021 right now for 7%-8% under invoice today if I wanted. I don't need it right away because I have other cars to drive. I just figured at this point I'd wait and see what new colors and options might be available for 2022.

has nothing to do with 2 door vs 4 door? 4 door is cheaper man!!! Sheesh. A month ago I could have bought a 4 door JLU Sport for 38k brand new. But my wife liked the used one better. Like I said a 2 door used for 39k is stupid.

Don't pay over 29k for that config used. The market is so hot now, just go buy a new one under invoice and fly/drive to pick it up.
