Heads Up on Lug Nuts

I ordered a set of wheels and tires for the Jeep from Discount Tire and went in this morning to get them installed today. They ended up ordering the wrong lug nuts. Apparently their system has the JL listed as the same as the JK with 1/2” lugs. If you’re ordering wheels through them make sure to ask/tell about the correct 14mm by 1.5 lugs.

I ended up having to wait until Monday to get the wheels installed since they didn’t have the correct lugs in stock.

Also, their system calls out the torque as 100 ft-lbs based on the old 1/2” lugs. It looks like the 14mm should be 130 ft-lbs.

Yes, 130 ft-lbs for wheel lug nuts, but careful mounting spare, as torque spec for the spare's lugs is 59 ft-lbs.
