After searching and discussing on the forums, the hothead headliner I decided to buy arrived. Installed it on my jl last weekend. But I also ran into problems. When the two largest boards located in the center were installed I found that there was no way they would fit perfectly on top of the top. So I took them off and I did a comparison and realized that the black plastic strip that holds the 3M tape in place doesn't quite match the dimensions of the top. Since it's taped to the raised part in the middle of the TOP, and the front and back ends of the raised part are not horizontal, once the length is not correct, one end is high enough that the 3M tape won't fit perfectly, so the whole board will be warped. I used a knife to cut off part of the plastic strip so it would fit the TOP, but I found that the 3M tape was dead. The left and right boards are the same situation. I emailed hothead at the first time to explaining the situation and hoping to get replacement 3M tape. 4 days have gone by with no response and I'm not sure what happend. The rest of the parts are intact and fit perfectly on top of the TOP, only the center is empty. I'm still waiting to hear back from them, by the way, to see how long they can stick to the TOP.
