New to this forum, not new to forums.

Just became the happy owner of a 2020 Unlimited Sport. Hard Top, Ocean Blue/Black, Turbo4, 8-speed Auto, tinted windows and rubber mats. That was it. Not that I don't like doodads, but the sticker shock was bad enough. Should have seen the wife's face when she saw the window cranks.

Aside from mall crawling and the occasional foray off road, this boy will follow the Dragonship on our wanderings, adorned with bike rack and kayaks on roof. To that end I have ordered a ton of stuff and melted the Amazon card, as well as obtained a few choice Facebook Marketplace items. Blue Ox tow bar, Patriot II braking system, a light bar and some wiring. Putting a "base plate" on for the tow bar I elected to put a steel bumper on, which will also house the winch. You know, for when the Moho gets stuck, which doesn't take much with #30,000 pounds on 6 tires. I've also added some Rampage rock sliders. May have to add steps if I get bigger wheels down the road. A nice cover for the spare and we're on our way to making it "ours".

I'll post pics as I go. The sliders were first. Before and after pic. Also installed a hitch for the bike rack.

Got the Curt hitch on. There was much blood, and bad words. Very bad words. 6 thick layers with poor alignment to get those 4 bolts through. What a pain. One of them I JUST got to thread itself into layer 4 and was able to turn it through. Boogered up the threads a little, but I was able to get the nut started and with some lube I got it on.

OK, front bumper is on. USA Smittibuilt XRC Gen II stubby. Heavy. 125 pounds. VERY good instructions. In real English. With color pictures. Which is good, 'caus the tech support dude I spoke to with a question was clueless. But it all came together without blood or f bombs. There's something slightly unnerving about tearing into a vehicle with 120 miles on it. Then again, it's nice to not need the PB blaster and the gas wrench.
