Can you lift them? Can you get bigger tires from the factory? All you guys have have them? What do you think?

My wife drives one. It's more comfortable and has more technology than the Wrangler, but that isn't saying much. I have never seen a new one modified as far as tire size or lift.

After my last experience with a GC and never-ending issues with my JL, I'd consider a different vehicle. The cost to quality ratio is ridiculous, compared to other manufacturers. After decades of loyalty to the Jeep brand, I gladly dumped the GC last year and purchased a VW. It was an amazing/refreshing buying experience and the ownership experience is about the same. I had no idea what I was missing! Not saying you should purchase a VW, but there are better options than what we've seen from Stellantis in recent years, especially when it comes to mid- and full-size SUVs. Best of luck, no matter what you decide, and please keep us posted.

On a recent article I believe I read about a return of the “Trailhawk” coming. Sorry I can’t be more specific, but if you’re not in a hurry research along with further announcements may confirm or deny.
My AWD 15 SRT was trouble free until about a year ago when a $1240 TC module was needed, recently getting HVAC glitches.
edit- I didn’t find that one but did find “The Drive” - “Jeep is asking customers to “stay tuned” for the 5.7 Liter V8’s return to the nameplate” Trackhawk return also officially “back on the table”

We have a 2024 L and like it. In 2024, some had a US built 3.6 and some had the Mexico built 3.6. Ours is a base model with full time 4wd and does not have the 2 speed (hi/low) transfer case. It has something like BLD to control wheel spin.

When I checked, jscan wasn't available yet for the new GCs, that could be an issue for changing tire size. I'm not sure what all the offroad (Trailhawk?) version comes with, but that's probably the best option as opposed to trying to modify one.

The WK2 either are solid or lemons it seems. I was shopping for a new SUV for my wife last summer in anticipation of replacing out '15 Durango. Test drove a bunch including the new WL (?) Cherokee. Frankly, it was a disappointment compared to the Durango. We drove Mazda, Toyota, Honda and Jeep over the course of a day, the new Honda Passport was the nicest of the bunch.

Lifting old or new Cherokees is limited to 2" and tire size isn't going up much due to the way the front upper a-arm sit above and over the tire. The new Cherokee is worse in this regard compared to the WK2.

my wife has the 2025 GC 4x4. its not a true 4x4. it has the auto 4wheel drive system with no low range. I will say how ever the ride is extremely comfortable

The wife has a 2022 Grand Cherokee and it’s alright. Knock on wood it’s been a decent vehicle. We took her Grand Cherokee to the pumpkin patch the previous fall, and my JLU this past fall, and space-wise I couldn’t tell a huge difference between her GC and the Wrangler. Not enough to warrant rocking a mom-car anyways 🤣 Some might think I’m wacky, but I think my ‘25 Willys actually rides better than my wife’s Grand Cherokee.

Hers is a decent daily driver, but I would never wheel one. But I am far and wide a big fan of solid axles and manual transfer cases when it comes to off-roading. That’s just my preference though. I know there’s a guy on YouTube who has 37’s on a Grand Cherokee. To each their own!

the new grand cherokees are trash. do not waste your money buying one. if you want a new one, buy the durango. its based on the last generation GC platform instead of the new terrible atlantis high L platform that the new GC is built off of.

the durango was supposed to be updated to the platform was having so many issues they delayed it indefinitely

I bought my wife a Grand Cherokee L. She likes it, more refined than my wrangler. But the electronics are just as clunky as the Wrangler. It just has the basic all wheel drive with a few selections.
