Just ask @cosine he knows!
i bought this wiring harness & antenna off of ebay, says it's listed for JL but it does not connect into the back of my radio unfortunately it has like the same connector on the end of the cable as the back of the radio: Jeep JL Wrangler Satellite Radio Antenna w Wiring P68293949AA 2018 2019 20 88304 | eBay
Check my post earlier in this thread

If you notice in that pic what you received was just the antenna and the short plug-in lead, you still need the long connecting wire here~

Not trying to revive a very old post but how has this location been over the last couple of years? Has anyone had any reception issues from the metal surrounding it? I just ordered the two parts from your list. Thanks for the write up.

It has performed fine in all conditions, from sub zero weather and covered in snow in North Dakota, to rain, and heat furnace sun in Arizona.

Recently purchased a 7" screen from a member and it is a great upgrade from the 5". However, to access the compass and Sirius XM channels I had to purchase the antenna kit. Well I was going to mount it in the normal location, about the sound bar, but read where many members have issues with reception if they put a metal rack on the roof. Thinking I might be doing that, I decided to mount the antenna elsewhere. Some threads showed the antenna mounted above the visors, others mounted antennas on the inside pillar and one had it mounted on the hood vent by the windshield wipers.

Thinking outside of the vehicle provided the best reception I was going to opt for the "on top of the vent" mount. Afterall, the antenna was black and would blend in. I popped the windshield wipers off and pulled up the vent. Upon doing so I discovered that underneath the vent, there was a metal shelf with a hole it. It turned out to provide the perfect mounting location, outside, no interference overhead (vented plastic) wiring was easily run through body to inside and behind dash. Now the compass and XM radio work great, you don't see the antenna, and I can install a metal carry rack without concern for reception issues.

with the vent popped off, you can see the hole that made for the perfect mounting spot

His is a 2019, mine was a 2018.
The antenna cable runs from the back of the head unit up to the sat/gps antenna on the roll bar.

Yea, just cant seem to find a cable to buy. To save time i was going to just remove the antenna, get a new cable and re-run to the new location. According to Mopar that cable Only works for 2013 to 2018.

Thanksgiving weekend is a good chance for me to do this project

I had moved my XM antenna to above the visor, and the reception wasnt so good. I then moved it to under the cowl and it was just as bad. I even shimmed it up to just under the cowl with a 10mm socket (of all things) as a spacer. I eventually put it back on top of the roll bar.

I live in WA State, so I probably don't have as good an angle on the satellites.
