Thought I'd give everyone a fair review and warning if you're looking at the Go Rhino Rockline full-width bumper in case anyone makes the same mistake I did. I installed myself on a 2018 JL Unlimited Sport. I saw a couple different posts regarding their products on this forum but nothing on their front bumper.
TL:DR: The Go Rhino Rockline Full-Width bumper will not fit a 2018 JL on 35's with a 2-1/2" lift. Looks cool, doesn't fit.
I purchased the bumper directly from their website a few months back and have been fighting with the company ever since. The bumper looks slick and aside from missing a few small bolts on one of the grilles it came well packaged and in good condition. Taking the OEM bumper off was the hardest part of the installation, it aligned well enough with the OEM holes and 8 bolts later I had it on.
To be fair the bumper looks pretty good. The welds aren't the best but after getting it installed I was happy with my choice. The problem came when I backed out of the driveway and turned the wheels. I heard a pretty aggressive clucking sound so I stopped the car and it turns out the bumper was trying to take a chunk out of my tires. It only happens when I'm going over a bump with the wheels turned, so if you only drive in straight lines on perfect roads then you should be fine...
I'm running 35" Dick Cepek's with a 2.5" spacer kit, nothing outrageous and the OEM bumper had no issues with them.
I emailed the company with my complaint and their first response was that I needed to install a larger lift kit, but that seemed like the tail wagging the dog. I told them that I was serious about a refund and asked that they send packaging materials. Their response was to ask if I'd be in California anytime soon and could bring the bumper to their shop in L.A.
I was in Vegas and its not that bad of a drive but I wasn't willing to take a weekend to bring the car down and again, asked for a refund.
Then they offered to modify one of the bumpers they had on-hand and send it to me, which was a perfect response. I said that'd be fine. Great customer service, I was really impressed that they'd take the time to custom fab the bumper so kudos to them. They said they'd have their engineers take a look and I'd get the bumper in 15 days. A month later I got the bumper and they had shaved off some parts just under the fender. Looked fine so I swapped the bumpers out, pulled out of the driveway, and CLUCK. New bumper didn't clear the tires, again.
Emailed the company a week ago and haven't heard back. Not too upset, they made the attempt but at the end of the day I need a bumper that fits. Will return what I got and keep looking.
