Had surgery in January, bad herniated disc.
My DD was a stock height gmc sierra. Which is about the same seat height as my rubicon. I had to use the running boards to get in, but not use them to get out
There is definitely more twisting and core strain without the running boards. (I’m 6’4” btw)
Unfortunately, 3 days after surgery, I was feeling ok and there was snow on the ground and I went out somewhere. I don’t ever really fall in snow so I figured I’ll just be super careful and I’ll be fine.
Well I go to step on to my running board, and my foot slips off the running board and I fall about 7 inches down with my leg locked straight. Omg it painful. I talked to surgeon and he assured me it was fine.
edit:i think seat might be higher in the sierra. In the sierra without the running board I have to essentially slide down the seat. I don’t have to do that in rubicon
