I don't pimp my gear ratio calculator too much. I don't make any money off it. I just like maintaining it and it doesn't cost much at all to run it.

I did just make an addition to it.

I put in an entry for portal axle reduction gears. It will affect maybe 1% of the population out there or less since portals are rare.

But if you feel like checking it out, give it a try.

Let me know if I broke something or not.

I do notice the gear ratios for the 8hp75 and 8hp50 seem to be different than some of the other calculators. not sure which is right.
The ZF 8HP75 is an 8-speed automatic transmission featuring a wide ratio spread for improved acceleration and fuel efficiency. Common ratios for the 8HP75/I include: 1st (4.71), 2nd (3.14), 3rd (2.10), 4th (1.67), 5th (1.29), 6th (1.00), 7th (0.84), 8th (0.67), and Reverse (3.30).
8HP75 Gear Ratio Breakdown
  • 1st Gear: 4.714:1
  • 2nd Gear: 3.143:1
  • 3rd Gear: 2.106:1
  • 4th Gear: 1.667:1
    • 5th Gear: 1.285:1
    • 6th Gear: 1.000:1 (Direct Drive)
    • 7th Gear: 0.839:1 (Overdrive)
    • 8th Gear: 0.667:1 (Overdrive)

Yeah. I forget where I found that info. Maybe I can do more digging.
