Jeep work only. Not an open shop for everything anymore, just Jeep work. ATV's and Motorcycles if I get bored. Lol

Gears, cages, suspension, engine swaps, blowers, cams, clutches, electrical, axle trusses, 3/4-links... Complicated to simple. It's really whatever people need.

I do have a real job so I book on the weekends. Friday drop off, Sunday pick-up usually. Depends on the work.

I don't make any money on parts so it's always been labor + parts/fluids. Small consumable charges for welding just to cover my consumables +10%. Bring your own parts is OK.

Labor is - $80/hour. Flat rate for gears, clutches, and normal/routine work.

If I ever find a Rubi t-case I may just finally drive out to you. No one in CA seems to be able to handle a t-case swap.

That's really crazy... it's such a simple task really. I've heard similar stories from NC and VA, too.

I got very close and a shop had it for 5 days but they had purchased the wrong t-case and thought an auto would fit in a manual despite me telling them it would not.

I wonder where they got that from. Even in the JK, they were splined differently between auto and manual.

They bought the t-case from a trans shop that re-builds transmissions and t-cases. I gave them the part # of the manual JL Rubi t-case and said only that part will fit. They had it for 5 days and I guess kept going back to try different ones because the splines wouldn't line up. After trying 2 different ones they put my Sport t-case back in and I picked it up and went on my way.

That's depressing... even MOPAR Parts sites list which models those part #'s are compatible with.

I once drove to New Mexico for a burger so this is right up my alley of things I'd do.

If you hear of anyone going Atlas and has a Rubi t-case for sell keep me in mind. Good luck with the new garage shop. It looks awesome. I'd love to have a lift in my garage.
