Just wondering what everyone has done? I know about the Kenwoods, but that doesn’t address the lower dash speakers. I know about the Terra acoustics but they’re pretty expensive (I’d probably try them at $150) and also do nothing to address the lower dash speakers. I do have a few older sets of mid end component speakers but I really don’t like the idea of having the mud by my knees and just tweeters in the dash. Anyone running a set of components like this that could weigh in?

I have a very BASE Willys with the 5 inch Radio System. The stock speakers are cheap and I just want some clarity when I have the Radio on. I did my research on Crutchfield and decided to replace my Dash Corner Speakers with JBL Club 3 1/2 inch speakers. Crutchfield has a way that you can listen to the differences of the speakers and I used this on-line app to make my choices.

Will it work out? I sure hope it does! LOL! I just got the speakers last night and now the weather has changed to Snow. I don’t like working in the cold with my arthritis so this project is stalled for a change in the weather!

Again, just my needs and opinions here. I just want a slight better sound staging when I do listen to the radio, and most times it’s news or old fashioned Country Music for me. I have a bit of hearing loss anyway so sometimes the tinnitus gets the best of me! So much for working on Military Jets for 24 years!

I looked into this. Many people seem to use the mopar kicker 3.5" and or the infinity ones. Word seems to be that they do sound better, but some people find them harsh or too bright. Others have reported that when top or windows where down, that the new speakers where not as clear with wind noise as the OEM ones where.

Ive read that a few times here now so I gave up and am saving up for a full system upgrade.

Using a larger driver for the lower dash location will allow you to have a much better midbass sound up front, with the upper dash giving you much needed midrange. Using some of the premade cabinets will help as well as some quality drivers can make a world of difference.

I like the Quart JC-108 dash speakers I put in her '21 JLURD with the Alpine I tried the 3032's and a set of C2-350x's and the Quart speakers sounded best of those. I ended up ripping out the whole thing for a Quart Stage 6. Also make sure you have the best signal going in, such as Apple Lossless, Tidal or Spotify with all quality controls maxed.
