I’m going on an extended camping/wheeling trip, just me and my 2 dogs.

I’ve already removed the rear seat, and extended the flat platform for sleeping. Lots of stubborn red-loctited bolts, and 2 nuts, but no electricity.

I’ll likely never reinstall it until trade-in.

I could make a nice bed for the pups if the front seat went away, temporarily.

The front seat removal looks very simple, just 4 bolts, but there is a plug.

I assume it’s airbag related.

I’m scared to death of all the interrelated electronics on my Jeep.

Anyone removed it?

Did it create unforeseen problems?

I removed both front seats in my JK when I put in aftermarket heated seats. Pretty straightforward, except I ruined my ratchet on those nuts. Good thing it was a Craftsman.

I just posted a thread about this as well, another user advised me it’s just a seatbelt warning sensor not airbag, I will be making a platform so I can sleep in my 2 door when hunting.

Hey, I just removed my front passenger seat as well, but now I'm getting the "service airbag" light. Other than the annoyance, think it could cause other problems? Also, do you know of any way to turn it off?

Yea, I just don't wanna pay for a Tazer for such a minor annoyance haha. As long as it doesn't cause serious issues I'll just deal with it for the time being.
