After 80,000 miles, my front drive shaft boot finally gave in. I am about to replace it with an Adams 1350. Its about $110 difference compared to 1310 on Northridge 4x4. I know there is an article by Tom Wood about why they suggest going 1350 instead of 1310. I want to know what you all went with and why? And what brand?

For context, I am on 37s + stock wheels with a plan to go 38s + beadlock this summer. Rubicon D44s with 4.88 gear and pretty much everything is beefed up. Truss, gusset, chromoly shafts etc.

I went with 1350s because I have a diesel putting out almost as much torque as my 97 F250.

But I would still go with 1350s for any JL engine. I've seen too many broken 1310s on the trail in all kinds of rigs to consider anything less than a 1350.

1350 for sure. Adams is a far superior brand in my opinion. Forged yokes, forged slip and stub. Dana u-joints. Incredible customer service. You can’t go wrong.

We are still running stock on the JLs but have had great luck with JE Reel on our JKs.

We are still running stock on the JLs but have had great luck with JE Reel on our JKs.
I did some research on JE but I could only find grease version. Do they only make greaseable U joint? I try to avoid greasing as mush as possible.

I recently added the Adams Driveshaft Extreme Duty Series OEM Flange Style Front 1350 CV Driveshaft with Solid U-Joints, as well as 2 spicer u joints for my front wheels, and have been extremely pleased with the difference in the last 2 weeks on my 19 Wrangler Rubicon.
