floor trim loose

today as I was shutting the drivers door I noticed a little gap [ 2 - 3 mm ] developed along the floor trim that is extended up to the door frame interior , I am thinking it may be result of the very high temperatures here in the Northeast , I am not worried about it I can always in the future take it to the dealer or I will just use some "crazy glue technique" as a the last resort but I wonder if anybody has had the same issue with the plastic trim

What you're describing is normal. There's a far amount of play in the trim. You really notice it if you remove your carpets.
