well, first time play with those stuff, I have a cheap amazon 10" underseat sub
https://www.amazon.ca/gp/product/B07L2ZN47N/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
I am wondering if I can power it from the trunk 12v outlet, the system is rated 150w RMS, but I only measured a max 4amp with multimeter for max volume, can that little 15a fused outlet handle this max 4 amp safely. I know I can snake power wire through fire wall or cowling panel, but if I can use the trunk 12v cigarette outlet, why not.
It is an under-seat unit, I like the compactness but want to put it trunk for better sound; another reason I am asking the 12v socket is to make the sub totally portable in trunk, so I can simply pull the plug and take the woofer out for space. I don't have to deal with 12v hot wire hanging around the trunk.
My plan:
Let it take power from 12v cigarette power, tap speaker wire from sound bar (stock factory base unit doesn't seems have RCA output), and that's it.
Need your advice, thx.
