That's a very expensive "Sport". The problem with the special editions based on lower trim levels is if the vehicle is in an accident and totaled, the insurance company will only value it as a Sport trim level. We ran into this when our Black Bear Edition (also built on a Sport) was totaled and they said, the VIN says it's a Sport & Sports are valued at this much. It's one of the times I was happy we had GAP insurance because the Jeep was only 4 months old and they paid out $8k less than we owed.
My insurance quote actually went up $20 when I provided my VIN and they were able to pull the information. So it may have been that your insurance agent didn't collect all of the right information. I would advise everyone to just make sure that what their insurance agent has the jeep valued at is correct.

The problem is when they pull the VIN it still comes up as a Wrangler Unlimited Sport. High-Tide, Xtreme Recon, Altitude, etc. are just option pkgs, not different models like Sahara, or Rubicon. In my case, I provided the window sticker showing the Black Bear option pkg cost, and they value options at pennies on the dollar.

I may actually be purchasing a High-Tide now if my dealer can secure one from another dealer as our Nov Sahara Altitude order hasn't moved.

Ah, Once I get mine and get the policy in place I'll be sure to check the value on there. Thanks for the extra info. SF is acting like they are doing the full value of the vehicle (like what I am paying) so I will double check that given what you have shared.

I wish you the best of luck! Jeep seems to have not met expectations on getting the high-tides out either. Mine was supposed to ship on 4-12, wasn't built until 4/14 and has been in JB status since 4-15 and I can't seem to get any more information. No ETA for when it will be delivered.
