Factory oem led headlights question!!!

So I have a 22 sport s coming next week. I want to put the factory led headlights on.

I heard the 18-20s needed to run a wire though the firewall for halos to work. Someone said the 21-22 wranglers dont need to run the wires for the halos and are strictly plug and play. Is that true? Thank you guys!!!!

Hey Mike, believe that is correct however you will need a programmer or have dealer add the code to allow LEDs and activate the halos.

No problem. If you are going to do other things you may want to investigate a JScan or Tazer Mini. Will save you time and dealing with the dealer

I can attest that 2018-20 JLs need a separate wiring for the halos. I’ve read that 2021+ JLs don’t need the extra wiring.

Plus, I can validate wiring when my new order gets here ?. Have a set of OEM LEDs sitting in the garage waiting. I will be switching over LED DRLs, LED Tails, and Steel bumpers front and rear ??
