Engine hood support location

Be honest now, it took all of you 5 minutes to find it, just like me, hunting all over the engine compartment looking down not up......is this a jl new thing or was it this way on old wranglers also? That was fun

Was pretty much the the same set-up with the 2007 JK and newer JK's.

With the the JL, they had added a yellow plastic lets call it foot on the hood rod that makes it safer... thanks to this plastic foot inserted into a capture hole, it will not inadvertently pop out of the insertion site if you bump it.

With the JK's, if you do not have the rod tip in the insertion hole just right, it can easily be jarred out and the hood comes slamming down on your forearm. Ask me how I know this.... 8-(
