After wheeling this past weekend, I found that the plastic around my wiring had started to melt, and need a better solution to keep my wires up and away from the engine. I purchased a set of little tie down hooks that I want to place under the bolts at the top of my hood, but wasn’t sure what they are. Does anyone know what these bolts are for, and would I run into any issues if I added in these tie down hooks (they’d act as washers).

I'm also open to any other alternatives to keeping my wires up closer to the very top of the engine bay - this was the best idea I could come up with.

You should have no issues using those bolts. Most just zip tie additional wiring to the factory harness.

Any chance there is a photo of this in the engine bay? Other than a single wire that runs into the hood off the right side, I didn't see anything else to zip tie to.
