Disabling Fender DRLs?

I have a 2018 JL Sahara with halogen option which I hate so I’m upgrading to aftermarket LEDs.

I’ve never liked the look of the fender DRLs, so I’m wondering if there is a way to disable the fender DRLs while keeping turn signal/side light?

I’ve tried to “uncheck” DRL option in UConnect but it does nothing (maybe only works on halos?)

I don’t want to just remove the bulbs.

disconnect fuse? Wire?

any help would be appreciated.

I played with this same thing yesterday. After you check/uncheck the box in Uconnect you need to cycle the ignition. Turn it off, close the door, wait for all the screen/dash lights to go off. That worked for me. Good luck.
