Hi,

Probably a dumb question. But when I was roaming eurodoc for a diff-fluid (gear oil) it recommended me 75W90, but on the forum people are recommending 75W140. Making me a little confused. What diff-fluid should I go for?
(I live in Norway if that makes a difference)

Well both are recommended depending on how you use the Jeep. The heavier oil is recommended for towing. I put the heavier oil in mine regardless but living in Norway it might be cool enough that it doesn't matter as much for you.

I put 75w90 from Amsoil. But as you've already been told, if you tow a trailer they recommend 75W140 (Some tuners in Italy recommend it if you do heavy offroading)

I went with the 75w140 since the Jeep is quite heavy when loaded, and the added equipment on the outside creates a lot of drag. We'll see how it turns out. But seems to be operating fine for now.

I only use the 80W/140 synthetic as I do a lot of extreme 4wding and I tow a bibig 19'6" 2.5 tonne van when away for 4wding 4wd weekends.
