Yes. Till she can legally drive it. But I live on a dirt road where she is learning already
We did the same starting about 6th grade. We lived on a dirt road in the country. I’m not sure it was “legal” and I know my parents didn’t always know. Less cops and Karens back then.

Bought my 13 year old daughter her first car this week. A 2018 JLU Sport. She’s always loved my jeeps and is headed to a technical high school in the fall, possibly to study automotive tech. I figured what better way to learn, than to have a vehicle she loves to work on.

probably not a huge amount of stuff being done to it to start. She always like the rubicon suspension setups on my previous sports, so we may go that route first. Personally I voted lift w/35s, but I’ve been outvoted by my wife lol

Nice. Good on you for teaching her early and safely. Most kids just don't get the chance and are on the roads with minimal actual time behind the wheel.

My parents have a 6-wheel Gator that has been the upcoming driver starting point for our kids and all our nieces and nephews over the last 20 years prior to actually getting behind the wheel of a real car. Hilarious, but living in the country gives you advantages when learning that skill...

I did some initial learning in both grandfathers' pickups with 3 on the tree, along with an International Harvester Scout that I wish I had now. Between rural Georgia on a 1000-acre chicken and cattle farm and rural Arkansas in the Ozarks all over fire trails, we had great places to learn. My primary driver in high school while living in Fairfax, VA, was our full-size Chevy conversion van with zero visibility or our grandparents' hand-me-down 1977 Grand Marquis that was 2 1/2 ft longer than the van. After school driving school was in 1977 Gran Torinos and one brand new 1982 Ford Fairmont. That thing was (relatively) sweet! American steel, baby! I did my driver's test in the van, to include parallel parking. Aced that puppy!

When I retire retire in a few years and my wife and I make our last move somewhere up in East Texas with a little land, I'm planning to have something fun for our grandchildren to learn on, but can't run over anyone or do too much damage...😂
