I bought a new bumper which won’t have fog lights on them but want to buy some cubes to put in the bull bar for on road use to replace the fog lights

Any suggestions/are these legal on the road? I don’t want them to be blinding for others obviously

unless the lights are label sae. then other lights are not legal. they will say off road only. the off road lights does not have a cutoff for the light pattern and they are bright. they will blind the oncoming traffic. street legal (sae) have a lumen of 2480. the off road one run higher. now you could run the off road lights on the street if you was the only one on the road.

look at baja design website. members on here run them and are happy with them. since you are looking for street use i would look at the squadron sae. look over the website. they provide all the info to better understand what you are looking for. depending which one you look at. they can be pricey. memebers here are happy to pay the price for the best quality of lights. the squadons are reasonably price and still provide the best lighting.

i'm planning to pick up the squadron sports. one set in clear lens and one set in amber. both will be the driving combo light pattern. these set up will provide both 8* spot and 42* flood. they are at 3150 lumens. so they are not street legal. i'll use the amber one on bad weather ie fog, snow, rain, etc. but thats when theres no cars around. they will be on the front bumper. the clear one will be mounted on the a pillar (windshield) on some night going home from work, i'll have no traffic to deal with but people walking and deer to watch out for. so with this set up i'll be able to light up the road. from time to time.

currently i have rough country cube lights on the a pillar. soon to be relocated to the rear bumper. they are 30* spot. at 2880 lumen. they are bright and not bad lighting up the road. kc lights are also another brand to checkout.
