CO2 Tank Fill Locations

For those of us that use a CO2 tank, it can be difficult to find places that will fill your personal tank instead of wanting to swap it with a pre-filled one. I have found these two places to be the best in the Sacramento area and conveniently on the way up to the Tahoe area if you realize on the way up (or back) you are out of air, filled while you wait for ~$25 (10lb tank).

The local tavern and home brewing store has a CO2 plant and refills your tank while you wait.

They don't fill while you wait, though. You have to drop it off unless you show up right before their scheduled daily fill time.

AirGas in San Carlos also will fill, but you have to drop off. Carbonics in San Jose also fills them.

I guess gone are the days of paintball fill stations being everywhere. I remember in high school being able to get a 20oz fill in 5 minutes for $2 from three different shops in my small town.
