Can I modify this piece?

Hello, I need hand controls to drive and the push rod for the brake pedal is rubbing on a bracket under the steering wheel. Can I modify the bracket? Grind a half circle from the bottom the size of a quarter? It’s keeping the steering wheel from being able to go higher so I can see the gauges.

Absolutely. Shouldn't be an issue at all.

Used to work in a shop that did those modifications all the time and yea grind away a bit that you need there. Nothing majorly structural or important in a crash.
