Hi All

Purchased my clayton offroad 2.5" lift kit and scheduled an appt with Brothers 4x4 in Montclair, CA. Has anyone had any experience with them, good or bad in the past? They have decent reviews on Google and Yelp and were one of the cheaper shops when quoting me for install. One odd thing was they charged me $50 to schedule my appt which i kind of understand when people flake. Any insight is greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance!!

i saw their good reviews as well so i called for a quote on having a rear locker installed. They were supposed to call me back, they never did. That probably offers zero help lol

I’ve had work done by them. They re-geared my 76 pickup and my jeep. They happen to not re strap a brake line ( my aftermarket ones that where setup for a bigger lift so they where to long) day after I got the Jeep back my wife calls me and said the brakes where mushy. The line pinched on the steering stop. Took it back and with very little push back on the longer lines they replaced the brake lines on the front and re-bled the lines. I would go back to them for anything big that I don’t feel comfortable doing my self. I also found them to be very upfront when talking to them.

Need a set of 35’s for that lift? I have five Patagonia mts in 315/70r17 with only 6500 miles on them for a smoking price

Well I'm glad they didn't push back and were able to take care of your problem! Shops that take no accountability for stuff I've dealt with on my ctsv and it's the worst! I'm looking forward to having them do my lift kit and the guy Steve that I spoke to seemed pretty straight forward with me. As far as the tires go my jeeps on 35s and has about 2k miles on it so I'm goof for now lol. Appreciate the offer tho! I may end up with 37s by the time I'm ready for new tires. Sweet looking Jeep tho!! I have the same winch I'm waiting to get installed

Not sure if you've had it done yet or not but lifts are pretty easy, depending on where you're at if you'd like to tackle it without a shop I could help quite a bit. If not, I completely understand. Sometimes it's nice to work on what you build, that way you can troubleshoot on the trails, and sometimes it's nice to just drop it off and pick it up. I understand both sides. I'm in San Bernardino if you need help though.

As far as Brothers goes, I purchased 35s with wheels from them for my wife's JLU. The price was decent. That's about all I can say about the company.

Hey man first off, thank you for even offering to help. Much appreciated! The lift kit is installed and I did end up going with Brothers. They did a crappy job on my Install, Axle was not centered, alignment was way off, front stabilizer not installed correctly andbolts not put in the correct orientation. They offered to "fix" the issues but I refused as they couldn't even get the lift done correctly I can't trust them to fix stuff at this point.

I would NOT recommend this shop to anyone looking for work. Called the shop and they were very dismissive and all they could say was it drove fine when they tested and to make an appointment to bring it in vs rectifying the issue asap since it drove like crap. Owner is rude.

Sorry you had a bad experience with them. what brand lift did you get installed? did you have a adjustable track bar for front and rear? if not that could be the problem. mopar lift has had this problem form the start. but re-centering is extremely easy.. Ive been able to get pretty close with alignment with just a tape measure. last time around they did zero adjustments on my moms jeep after i did the install of her JKS kit
