At 44,000 miles, the Braptor went in for a new Transmission, turbo and Exhaust......still love it, but kinda worried about it's future. Glad I have the new 392 as back up. Jeep wins on the interior by a landslide, and the Braptor wins for highway cruising. When grabbing keys, i tend to go for the 392!I'm switching back to Jeep after owning a Bronco Badlands for 3 years. I really enjoyed all the places my Bronco took me, but the build quality and Ford customer service is not there. Too many problems and not reliable.
Jeep interior over broncos is crazy work. Bronco is such a nice cabin space to be in - to each their own though. At 44,000 miles, the Braptor went in for a new Transmission, turbo and Exhaust......still love it, but kinda worried about it's future. This is accurate. I've had XJ, TJ, JKU, JLU. The Bronco has 2 advantages in my use case:I sincerely always appreciate the thoughts from folks who have actually owned and wheeled both vehicles, on- and off-road. From all the threads on this subject, the general consensuses seem to pretty much boil down to:
1) Both vehicles have definite strengths
2) Both vehicles have definite weaknesses
3) Seat comfort is subjective, and opinions are all over the place
4) Engine preference is subjective, and opinions are all over the place
5) The Bronco is too wide
6) The Wrangler is narrower and thus has less inside space
7) Broncos are crap. I'm coming back to Jeep
8) Wranglers are crap. I'm leaving forever and going Bronco/Toyota/Land Rover...
9) The Bronco has better on-pavement performance/comfort/steering tightness
10) The Wrangler was designed with off-road focus as priority, so shut up and suck it up, Buttercup!
11) Many who switch to Bronco from Jeep ultimately end up coming back
12) The Wrangler is iconic and cooler-looking, thus winning the debate. So there.
No matter your position, all are welcome in this community as far as I'm concerned.![]()
I never saw a 2 door Bronco until you posted. Here the only 2 doors are older jeeps and a few JK and JL. The 2 door Bronco looks better than the 4 door but it has odd looking mud guards and bumper. Even if they were painted, it still has an odd look. It's like trying to get over the JL grill refresh. This is accurate. I've had XJ, TJ, JKU, JLU. The Bronco has 2 advantages in my use case:
1. 2 Door Size:
I can get away with a 2 door. It's just big enough (some would say too big) to get a lot of the gear I use with the seats removed.
2. Manual Transmission:
There is zero debate on this in my eyes, the manual in the JL was a pretty large fail. The 7MT in the Bronco is smooth, fun to drive, great clutch engagement, etc.
There's some other items that people complain about on both sides that I think are overblown - the Bronco hard top has given me zero issues, and it has been on/off probably 15 times. The wandering of the Jeep compared to the Bronco is a thing, but I don't mind how the Jeep drives. Comfort wise, the Bronco seats are much better and have held up well over 3 years (Marine Grade Vinyl).
Off road - I'm in tight trails, the Bronco is wide and it has the scratches to prove it. With the SAS package and shorter wheelbase compared to my JLUR, I have done harder trails in it, but that's not an apples to apples comparison, and it definitely likes to 3 wheel.

So…. You are comparing a modified Jeep Wrangler to a bone stock Badsquatch Bronco? I’m no Bronco fanboy, must point out the obvious discrepancy here!I have a JKU Rubicon with a 3" lift and 35s. And my wife has a Badsquatch Bronco with 35s. The Bronco wins on everything except offroad. The Rubicon has 16" of clearance under the belly and the Bronco has 11". Clearance is everything offroad.
