Having some issues with my old truck and needed a decent code reader. This one has 4.5 stars with 43, 000 reviews.

It seems OK. Anyone have it?

It was on a Prime deal and an additional coupon, so it was $59.

Interested if it will work on my JL or not.

I have one and it will work on your JL. It does not have a full complement of OBD pins and as such may not cover some modules on your JL. I have since switched to the OBDLink MX+. I get a lot more info from the OBDLink MX+ than from the Bluedriver.

I use both, they both work on my F-150 and Corvette Z06 and my wife's car, as well as my 2018 JLUR.

You might need one of these if you want to clear codes. Some folks say you don't, but my experience was that I did need it.

Yeah, the research I did suggested the MX+ is superior, but at over 2X the price I paid, not worth it *for me*, in my circumstances.

I wanted a lower mid-level scanner as I have 2 friends who have the big, uber expensive ones, if needed.

I did see that bypass module might be needed in another thread, but thanks for including that info.

I do have a Tazer JL, I wonder if that would work as the bypass?

I'm just talking out my ass because I have not researched the whole security module setup. I will, just not yet. ?

My chevy truck threw an "Engine is operating at reduced power" TPS error, I replaced the sensor, but the error popped back up a couple days later, so I want to see if the scanner can shed any additional light on the issue.

Since my JL is my newest vehicle, I'm hoping to find a scanner that will cover the full range of all of our current vehicles.

What @Rhinebeck01 said

I also have a Tazer and it also gives codes.

I believe I paid about $90 for the blue driver several years back, so you definitely got a good deal on it.
