Found this behind my passenger seat on the floorboard any ideas on what is is and where it came from? 2021 2 Door Rubicon.

thats the plug that keeps the vehicle from flooding during water fording.



or during heavy rain.

stay out of either and you'll be good.

It's not the plug from underneath the carpet. It's a very tiny black plastic peg (clearly broken off something) that I located on top of my factory Jeep all weather mats behind the rear passenger seat.

It's not the plug from underneath the carpet. It's a very tiny black plastic peg (clearly broken off something) that I located on top of my factory Jeep all weather mats behind the rear passenger seat.

oooohh...that one. thats the one that keeps the fuel vapors from entering the cabin.

Freedom panel alignment pin? I can't judge the size well but you found it where that pin would fall if you broke it off.

Freedom panel alignment pin? I can't judge the size well but you found it where that pin would fall if you broke it off.
I have a soft top so can't be that... To scale it is on top of a large styrofoam to-go box.

This is correct. It's a guide pin. They're common on most interior parts. It aligns panels during installation so that the clips are positioned to snap into the body. It's not essential. Nothing to worry about.

Not necessarily from that rocker panel cover but could be one of dozens of plastic trim covers inside the Jeep. Could have popped off during install at the factory. Never know!

Thanks... I'm gonna give all the panels around it a tug and make sure none are loose. This is why I love this forum. You guys are the best, minus the first responder with his responses
