OK so, a little over two weeks ago, I went to start my Jeep and the engine wasn't turning over. Fuel wasn't getting to the engine, I knew it was either a fuel pump or some stupid sensor that wasn't properly working. Jeep towed it to the dealer, they confirmed fuel pump.

So OK, sometimes you just get a bad part, it is what it is. Then I was told it was on a two week back-order with a date of June 1st. Not too happy, especially with a beach trip planned the next day. So they gave me a JLUS (vs my JLUR) for a loaner in the short term. It give me at least something and I have dealt with it. Today Uwharrie finally opens up, and of course, now have to wait longer since I don't have something capable to handle it. Then, for another punch in the stomach, this afternoon got a text message from my service advisor stating simply: "YOUR PART IS STILL HAS NO ETA"

What should I do here? They will only replace with OEM and it has to come from Jeep directly or another Jeep dealer but I have no end in sight and now over two weeks without my brand new rig.

@JeepCares can you help resolve this please? I can't believe that in the entire country there is not an OEM fuel pump for a Jeep.

Wait until it gets in. Factory will get them first if it is in limited supply and right now with supply chains starting up there are shortages. All manufacturers are facing this. I was at a Ford parts shop the other day and another customer was told the part he needed was on back order with no ETA.

How easy (or difficult) is it to replace the fuel pump on these JLs? I know some vehicles are a nightmare.

Really hard if you have no replacement!
