Hello,
I'm new to the forum and this is my first post. I just purchased a 2019 JLU Rubicon this weekend that is lifted 2" and sitting on 37"s. I am looking for a set of steps for the wife to View attachment 1755437675246-33.png get in and out easier and would like some extra protection for hitting the trails as well. I've looked at a lot of rock sliders and have been told to go with DOM steel and frame mount but those all seem to be $1k - $2k. I don't mind spending that down the road on an upgrade but am hoping to get something for now that is still decent protection. Here is what I have found so far. Any advice would be very helpful on if these are ok or if there is anything else I should be looking at that may be better.

While I don’t have these specifically I do have quite a few smittybilt products. And while yes they are on the I was say mid at best range, I have had zero issues with any of them. My winch has been put thru hell and still goes strong, and my fenders still hold up great after 3 years. So I would assume this product would be no different.

I have been running the SRC Side Armor for 6+ years. Very happy with the product. No rusting and wear great with lots of use. However, I don't believe they are designed for heavy duty rock crawling.

My JLU is a daily driver and sees lots of trails with mud/snow but no bouncing off large rocks. They do provide a functional step and excellent side protection from rude drivers with large doors parked next to the JLU.
