Anyone in the Northeast use Hard Top Hotel? Seems like a great business model and prices seem pretty reasonable. Wondering if anyone has used them and what their impressions were. Did they do a nice job swapping tops and do it without causing any damage? Was your hard top returned with no damage? Were they punctual? I ordered my Jeep with dual tops and while I do have a two car garage, it's pretty full with other toys like bikes, kayaks and kayak trailer. Hard Top hotel seems like a great option to have.

I signed up to use them last summer. Registered online, it was priced out to about $1000 all together ($450 to store the hardtop, $650 to rent the soft top).

I get there to the warehouse, bunch of sketchy dudes standing around. First red flag. They take the hardtop off, bring it into the warehouse. To their credit, they were pretty cautious and careful with it, knew how to flip the glass up, how to carry it, etc.

Guy comes back out, informs me it will be $999, cash. No cards accepted.

I ask him, where is the soft top? He goes, "Soft top? We don't have any sort tops-- let me call my boss"

He comes back, tells me his boss is driving a soft top down from ~60 miles away, so it will be an hour or so. He then informs me it will be $1,999 all together with the soft top.

I tell him to go screw. They put my hardtop back on and I leave.

Why would I pay $2000 to rent a soft top when I can BUY a brand new soft top for $2500? And a used one for probably $1500?

So I have a bitter experience.

The SOT seems to be a pretty cheap alternative compared to this scheme.

If you have a garage, then why not hoist it to the ceiling.
