I think these MIRIMOTO Super 7 headlamps would be great off-road, if you are in the lead of other JEEP's or vehicles. I recommend you thoroughly check them out before plunking down $500 bucks if your planning to run them on the street. MORIMITO may have something to advise for these lights. They might be fine on streets, properly aimed but I would really check that out first. I do not see that they meet DOT & SAE standards. If you are not a photon torpedo kind of lighting rebel to oncoming pedestrians or vehicles be darned, and will install anything for on and off road use. Just saying, this might be a consideration in your search for aftermarket headlamps.

If you do get the Super 7's opr any brand and model of aftermarket headlamps, whether they do ro do not meat DOT standard, and plan to install them yourself for use on the road; please take your time doing that work. Level surface at exactly the right distance from a flat, not corrugated or other irregular surface to aim the lights at.

JEEP perfectly square with your chosen aiming wall surface. After positioning that included making sure the tires are aired up at street use psi. And at least the typical weight in the JEEP including simulation of a driver in-seat. Maybe a friend being fed pizza sitting in drivers seat while you spend ultimately about the next half hour after positioning the JEEP. I find the use of blue or similar Painters take a big help to assess the factory headlamps positioning before removing them to install alternatives.

Over the years, I wish I had the stand-aiming units to simplify and speed up the work. They are expensive. The wall method works fine. Ideally on a warm dark evening to get the ultimate visible characteristics of the headlamps output where I can place position markers at the start versus where I need them to be as I slowly adjust rotate the adjuster screws. I haven't done a JL but just FYI for anybody installing headlamps on JK models; the factor only provided the vertical adjusting screws. You can go to sites like QUADRATEC or a dealers parts department to order 2 x MOPAR pn 55078114AB adjuster screws that you can install to perform left-right headlamp adjustments. A more precise left-right might be necessary for sharp cut off lamps with their right "triangle" beam to be best-located for USA right side road driving to see the road signage and the occasional deer before they come out onto the road. Which of course per Murphy's Law, will smash the neat but expensive headlamps. That can only be purchased in pairs. Which frankly to keep the photon emissions equally done, need to be replaced in pairs anyway.

Don't sell your take-out headlamps. Box them up, label in large print and store where you keep JEEP stuff. Getting another pair of aftermarket headlamps might take time since they were naturally discontinued (you hope not) and you have to search for something else to order.

I do not have these, but I recently looked them up when deciding if I am replacing my Oracle headlights or not. My main concern with these is it looks like there is no plexi covering the 9" tunnel that is our Jeeps and uses the wind to actively cool them; given the snow I get, I am not sure that is going to be a good design in winter environments.

Living in an area with significant darkness, I'm salty too whenever I see the LEDs-in-halogen headlights heading straight for me. But, the video of these shows the crisp, clear cutoff to reduce scatter and blinding everyone.

Just curious, why are you replacing the Oracles?

The halo is getting dead spots. Just speculation, but I don't think they like it when the temp drops below -20F. The main light still works well and is a huge improvement over the stock halogens, so I'm debating on if I want to spend $500-1000 on new LED headlights.

Yes, but not specifically included in the Super 7 headlamp in the path I took yesterday for PORSCHE use. But looking at it today, using JEEP Wrangler as the vehicle, it does indeed indicate DOT and SAE standards. Thats good! And because it is MORIMOTO, I believe that to be legitimate. Probably just wasn't posted for the PORSCHE and needs to be corrected. I shall contact MORIMOTO about that but looks A-OK for the JEEP descriptives.
