Was wheeling in Colorado this past weekend and didn't have the best line and scraper scraped the bottom on a boulder. The only thing I could see was a small scratch on the underside of the drivers side but this came off. Any idea what it is and what to get to replace it? Seems like a metal clamp but not sure

Looks like the clamp they use on the driveshaft boots, probably the front one. Might as well just rip that boot off now.

As in it's not that important and it will probably just come off on its own? I could probably buy a cheap replacement and install if its important...

If it is indeed off the boot on the driveshaft, then it may have a tendency to flop around and maybe make some noise. It really isn't that important. Look at all the aftermarket driveshafts out there, only spicer uses them. Just take it off and include greasing the splines in your preventative maintenance.

Hey Jared,
I looked under my Jeep and took some photos for you. There is a black band on the rubber boot at the back end of the driveshaft. There are several steel colored bands on what looks like an exhaust shield. There is one right next to the front cross member skid which is a low point. Take a look at yours to find which one your missing. The photos are from the drivers door side. Looks like a stainless steel hose clamp should be a quick fix. From the photo you can see I may have scraped a little bit.

@Rob Your right I took a look after I power washed the bottom and saw a few little scratches. I'll just order a stainless steel hose clamp and next time I'm under the Jeep I'll put it back. Would something like this work (https://www.quadratec.com/p/omix-ada/hose-clamp-07-11-jeep-wrangler-jk)?
