Has anyone been brave enough or willing to admit they installed one of these ebay/amazon lunchbox lockers? We all know they are an infierior product, so we dont need to go down that lecture lane. Im just curious if anyone has, and what they thought or think?

Well, No one has admitted, so here it goes. I had a friend ask me before I posted this if I would Install one he bought on Facebook market place.

So, this week I installed it for him. Everything went fairly smooth, other than there were no instructions, advice from anyone and no support anywhere to be found. I did do a boobo, and installed the springs and sleeves backwards, causing the locker to stay engaged all the time, so I had to tear it back down and flip those around. I had read on some other page that someone was having problems with there lunchbox locker and this guys said springs and sleeves were backwards. The second I read that, I was like, Head thump, yep Im an idiot, and knew exactly what Id done, and thought, self, you saw that and still put it together wrong, thats what happens with age.

Fast forward a few hours to tear down, repair and install. First drive, several loud pops and snaps on corners. But as I drove it, it seemed to quiet down. being nervous, I jacked it up, spun the drive shaft and all was still well. Put it in and out of 4 wheel several times, just to verify you cant steer on pavement. LOL.

Well, there it is, time will tell how long it lasts. but yep, its been done, and it seems to work. But we all know! You get what you pay for.
