Air shocks for towing?

Wondering if there are air shocks that would work on my 18 JL Rubicon. No tow package but want to tow a small trailer occasionally. Not over 2000 lbs

Towing doesn't necessarily mean you need air shocks. Those would be used to level out the rear if the load on tongue was heavy and causing sag. Ideally your load would would be balanced and not cause the rear to sag.

I'd suspect your better route if you needed to some assistance would be helper air springs that go inside the coil springs.

Shocks are a pretty important part of a good ride and I wouldn't swap out my everyday shocks for something to be helpful only when towing.

Moregone is right, i did this several years ago just playing around. I put them on front and rear. Thinking i would air them up at same time i aired down . Was trying to clear 38s offroad. It was so rough i couldn't stand it.
So i removed the front first , air shocks are rough on a jeep even with just minimal air.
Balance your load out and call it a day.

Thanks guys! I thought it would help to level my Jeep out too. The back sits lower than the front and makes my head lights rude for oncoming drivers.

You can get a leveling kit.
Or, adjust your headlights.

I've been using Airlift 1000 helper bags in the rear on my JLU. Also had them on my JKU too. Been using them for years. I do not do any hardcore off roading so 100% articulation isn't an issue for me. If you keep them 5-10lbs they are unnoticeable. I put them on due to how badly the JKU/JLU sags with people & gear in the back. Throwing a couple of bikes on the hitch made things even worse. I also tow a 10' utility trailer and the tongue weight is hard to modulate sometimes depending on the load. The bags help tremendously even at the low PSI. They go to 35 but never needed to go that high.
