Adding USB Ports

My new 2021 Wrangler came with a 12 volt cigarette adapter in the front dash board. I still cannot for the life of me figure out why auto manufacturers do this. I picked up a 12-24V QC3.0 Dual USB Car Charger Fast USB Socket Outlet + Blue LED Volt Meter on eBay. I put one of these in my Ford. Now my dash looks normal. I had to cut out the old one with my Dremel and make the hole a little bit larger with the Dremel.

How difficult was it to pop the panel out?

Nice - I bought a similar unit to install in the top of the dash. Your setup did give me a simple solution of where to steal power from (ignition only for that cig lighter vs the rear), but that is ok for my purposes.

Any instructions or video available on how to get the panel out? I want to do this to my 2021 but don’t want to screw anything up.

I ditched there rear view mirror and added two USB ports up top and put a power bank wired direct on the dash. I can't stand cables running all over the Jeep dash.

The power bank has an off/on button
