FOUD IT!!! I pulled up the trim to see if I needed to make adjustments and found the linkage broken. Looks like I need to take it in to my local shop and have it replaced. Too cold to do anything myself unfortunately.

I just replaced this a few weeks ago. It is doable at home, you do have to drop the transfer case a 1/2 inch, so if you're not comfortable with that take it to a mechanic. Let me know if you need the details.

You can google JL transfer case swap and there are 2 videos showing the linkage on the underside, one from the light brite couple and one from the dirt everyday guy. DM me if you need more details.
