It’s noticeably slower than factory 33s, but still as quick as I need to drive a Wrangler. I may regear in the future, but it’s not a priority.
these words are golden.

I am on 37" KM3's and recently decided to regear to 4.88. The stock 3.73 gearing was fine once I upgraded tires, but I did feel it was more sluggish than before. I bought a 392 to never feel sluggish again. I have a ton of weight on my 392 already (bumpers, sliders, tire carrier, trail rack, jerry cans) and more is coming once my Gobi rack gets installed. That all played into my decision to regear.

I will say if the option to go 4.56s as in the XR pkg was available when I bought my 392 I would have done it in a heartbeat. It was not so the 3.73s are what I have and they work for me.

I have 2 392s. Stock gearing is fine for 35’s… but 37’s will benefit from 4.56’s, at highway speeds. 4.88’s are too far unless you’re towing. Check out the 392 forum. The Jeep engineer will tell you the same?
