I average 18 to 19. 3.73 on 35s. And yes a 392. Last fillup was 18.4 and 17.8 hand calculated.

Yes in the 392
Should try to edit the title even though itā€™s in the right forum. Some just look for new posts and not notice what forum it is.

For me, only been a 1000 miles but 12.9 mpg is about what I normally average.

Indicated was in line with Left Field ,( other than no towing ) stock. Incorrect Indicated after 4.56ā€™s and 35ā€™s, no recal ~1 less. Drops to mid-high 9ā€™s OR+ use % dependent. Also high use of manual shift to avoid MDS. Of course, also heavy foot dependent.

I know the folks with the 392ā€™s are getting pretty low mpgā€™s, BUT given what it is they seem to be doing quite well imho. I had a 97 TJ, 4cylinder stick shift with NO power that wouldnā€™t break 16 unless you ran it off a cliffšŸ˜. Compared to those old Jeepā€™sthe 392 is great on fuel economyšŸ˜

LOLā€¦..you guys try to wrap your heads around the mileage of a 24 year old exotic with a V-12 gas sucker. I give all the gas stations my patronage.

The 392 will seem like a Camry.

I've been tracking nearly every fuel stop and I'm on 37's with 4.88 gears. Total average after nearly 2 years is 11.2 mpg with my last refill being 9.7 mpg. I am hard on the Hemi at all times after being the slow guy in my TJ and JK over the prior 15 years. My best was 18.5 mpg when I was nearly stock, in the mountains, and following 2 Jeeps at 60 mph with a tailwind.

I am a heavy beast with Gobi rack, steel bumpers/sliders, and steel skids.

Totally agree my 392 gets at least the same as my 3.6 and is better than my TJ was by a long shot.

WOW - Is there that many people who thought this was thread for all engines?
I wouldn't think to post my MPG in the diesel forums...why muck up the thread with MPG's for powerplants besides the 392?

FWIW I am hovering around 12.9

I get about 9-10 city. I mean real city driving...as in like downtown Chicago. Stop in go for a couple of blocks, barely getting above 35 for any extended period.

In more suburban environments I see about 12ish.

On highway I get about 15-16 over an extended period. I drive from Chicago to Atlanta a few times a year. I usually average about 15.5-16mpg over 750 miles doing about 75 using the ACC feature. On some country roads cruising at 60ish, I've averaged upwards of 17.5 mpg over an extended period.

What are you guys really getting in mpgs?
10.5 mpg around town with heavy foot. I do have f and r steel bumpers, AMP research side steps, and winch, but still feel like it's a little low from what I was hoping for. No regrets.

I "roughly" average 13-14.5 mpg depending on the tank. I drive super easy on my 392 until I get feeling a little frisky and younger and then the "instant" mpg drops like a scalded rock.
