Mid December and still not on Jeep website. Cannot find info on 26 4xe other than expected changes
That's because every 4XE ever made has a battery recall and there is a stop-sale on new ones. There likely will not be a 2026 4XE. The other 2026's are on the Jeep website, except for the Twelve 4 Twelve Special Editions, those may be custom order only, it's not clear yet if Jeep will stock dealerships with the special editions...

Thanks. A report, finally, that at least for me has a lot more credibility than your typical YouTube video or AI search. Some of us don’t like government but sometimes it’s useful.

Jeep kept building hundreds of thousands of 4xe, knowing that they were using faulty batteries.

Manufacturing a 4xe for 2026 would be pushing it, especially with no government grease to goose sales, the government grease is most likely why they took the risk to keep manufacturing 4xe after knowing the batteries were faulty in 2023.

I am really curious how that worked. At what point did they definitively know "yup, we just keep building with bad batteries and deal with it later". Who made that decision? Was that knowledge known all the way up?

It's pretty likely it was known all the way to the top since they are still playing the same games, and pretending this can be handled with software updates.

The đź’© will hit the fan on this in a major way, until then Jeep will let the owners bear the full brunt of any fall out from fires.

The whole idea that auto manufacturers consider safety a cost issue and not a safety issue is pretty well established.
