Ahh, your pictures of the 2024 grille are great. Now I can see how JEEP improved air flow with the new grille by making a higher percentage of the framing in between the slots, open to air flow. It does make the grille look a bit busier where the older grill is "cleaner" looking. I am sure the older grill is also easier to clean bugs off than the newer one.
More air and more bugs make it to the cooling fins (uggh) with the sort-of old world styling of the new grill.
Or
Apparently less air and some bugs get stopped by the sleeker, more modern look of the old grill. I can now see why the new grill has been a controversial topic.
