Where did you see the info about the lift?

Someone called "lights" on page 290.

"
Alright , been awhile since an update.

65 days at C. Rubicon 3.6 XR. Dealer informed me the hold up is parts for the lift. Said that’s what the vehicle is waiting on. So could be what many of you are also waiting on. "

Take this with a grain of salt, but the Jeep site says there are currently over 40 Rubi Xs being built. Talked to my dealer on the phone today and both him and his manager are baffled. They've currently got 11 on order for customers and no movement at all. The oldest dates back to May, although one of you scallywags just got yours recently from the same dealer.

Since my data-driven curiosity is killing me, I think I'm going to spend the afternoon writing a script to pull that data from the jeep site with a focus on trim level and engine. From there I may just graph it out to see if there's anything telling from that data.
My dealer sounded super frustrated in his e-mail to me about it this morning. He said all the Rubi's are in D and they are trying to figure out why they aren't being made. They have one Wrangler left on the lot and haven't had any since July. They had maybe 6 on the lot when I ordered mine mid-June. Pretty crazy. Another one near me has a Rubi X on the lot and one on the way. Be interested in what you see from the data :)

So it’s been the lift, the wheels, the tires.

It really seems like no one has a clue.

This is honestly getting ridiculous. My dealer nor Stellantis can tell me why this is taking so long. The so called "case specialists" do nothing and I'm left in the dark. Is the Willys just not getting the same attention or something? It's not even an XR so I have no clue what the hold up could be beyond a chip shortage or something. I know I'm not as far in C status as some of you here but I can't wait much longer. My current vehicle is falling apart and I need something with 4WD for the winter. With the almost certain strike coming up I'm sure I'm not going to see this thing until the end of the year at this point.
I've got a close build to that, no movement since July 12th when I ordered it. There's definitely some shortage. If they strike, I'll just have to buy something else I guess.

I’d agree 100%. I bet these dealers are just thinking of whatever they can say to get people “an answer” but I seriously doubt any of them have real insight.

Winner winner! My dealer didn't say what it was, seems like he's kind of scratching his head over it as well.
Maybe if they strike the part suppliers can catch up. Might not even see a delay :CWL: :like:

That’s exactly what I was thinking. ((Give the customer an answer so they won’t feel like canceling their order?))

I honestly think it’s really due to the strike. Everyone claiming shortages doesn’t seem right?

Yes I ordered it from Tuttle Click. Are they good on contacting you for any updates or do you contact them yourself?
Rob reached out on August 17th to let me know I'd reached D status and shared the VIN. I already had that info from Jeep, but appreciated him reaching out without being asked.

I've wondered the same thing too. I'm hoping that the suppliers aren't part of the UAW and can keep churning out parts if/when the factories sit idle.

Hopefully it won't reach this point, but if my Rubicon X isn't on a train by early December, I'm going to have to start considering other options. Whether that be buy something off a dealer's lot, or go with something besides a Jeep, I have to have something by the end of December. I"m lightly borrowing my step-daughters car while she's out of state on a college internship. She returns in January for her last semester of college.

It was me. Not a rumor this is what My dealer texted me on 8/25 and said this verbatim. “Looks like they're waiting on some parts for the lift! But they have it set up for production. Hope you're doing well”. do with that information what you wish.

For what it's worth, the parts suppliers appear just as concerned.

Why do you recommend I stay on top of them? Are the a bad dealer to work with?
My personal experiences were not good; your mileage may vary. The sales rep was nice enough, but I witnessed them taking advantage of less savvy buyers. The finance department attempted several bait and switches on my vehicle until I plainly called them out on it. Check the numbers and fine print on everything before signing the purchase agreement.

So I’m from Vegas , but we‘re currently stationed in AL, so I wasn’t able to actually go see this at the dealership. I thought I would post it just in case it helps anyone . I’m kinda at the point that I’ve been trying to see what’s on lots. Vegas does have a good amount of Jeeps still

Luckily they have been pretty good to me so far. I went to them over my local dealer in Flagstaff because my local dealer wouldn't budge on any price and would not negotiate on just about anything. Airpark has been what I would say pretty generous. That may change when I drive down to sign the papers though.
