An extended cab would also be rad! It could use the same bed as this JT2 on a standard JT frame like this render I made based on Jeep’s JK based Gladiator concept.

They already make a jeep truck limo, its called the JT. That wheelbase is way too long.

So basically you’re saying every truck on the market today is too long ?

As a regular cab dakota owner, previous TJ owner, and JL 2 door owner - YES. A jeep truck needs to be short so it can be used as a jeep. There is a whole assortment of long trucks already available, including one from Jeep. This thread is about short wheelbase jeep trucks.

Actually this thread is about a vehicle that Jeep will never make.
Also curious to know how my Jeep can’t be used as a Jeep

I here ya. My '95 Chevy S10 ZR2 regular cab short (6') bed is ideal for the tight trails through the heavily forested areas of northern Michigan. It has a 108" wheelbase and is 188" long. It's similar in size to my Wrangler Unlimited but narrower and about 1000lbs lighter. We go to the Upper Peninsula for camping and off-roading trips several times a year and the little S10 gets called for duty often. A 2 door Gladiator with a 6 foot bed would be ideal for our use. Anything larger is just not as practical or as enjoyable.

While I agree this would be a fantastic option in this configuration, I still wouldn’t trade my Gladiator for it. It’s amazing to see how divided the two door vs four door crowd is. Everyone who commented on how ugly the gladiator was is rocking a 2 door wrangler. I think one guy even said it had a 4 foot bed ?

being a family man the two doors just don’t work for me. We have a JLU and a JTOD in the driveway, and I wouldn’t trade either in for a 2 door. Doesn’t make enough sense to me.
Well as a blue collar working man it’s a two door truck for me, not a family sedan!

Man how did I miss this, so cool! Just an FYI all compact truck sales took a dump last year with the exception of the Tacoma and Ridgeline. For all the bad press the Gladiator still outsold the Ranger and Ridgeline. Jeep has neglected the platform entirely when they've had a unique winner for day one. The hold on diesel sales until the last month of the year definitely hurt sales as well. Zero color options for the most part other than Earl and without the diesel it only had one power plant option. Options increase sales volume yet the big three are shoving a cookie cutter approach down our throats. They are in for a rude awakening with this scheme over the next couple years. Customer want options and a variety of choices and will reward those thst offer them with their hard earned money. Bravo to these guys for going through all the hard work to build what we all can only dream about. Wish the big three had the balls to do what AEV, these guys, and AMW is doing for customers. I stumbled upon the thread because I was searching for a compact solution for our ranch with a bed, as the compact bed is useless regardless if it's the Gladiator, Ranger, or Canyon/Rado. As far as departure angles it's a pickup, not a wheeler. I grew up wheeling full size trucks on Jeep trails. Pick better lines and angles if you're wheeling a truck. I hope you all know the media hates Jeeps, diesels, and V8's these days, hence why they wrote endless hit pieces on the Gladiator sales, VW, Cummins, Bosch, negative reviews of the Wrangler and Gladiator and so on. They are deliberately trying to manipulate society's perspective of things we love, want, and enjoy.

These were two other pics I found thst I personally fell in love with.

It is bad ass! I love it! My hats off to that crew that figured out what I would say is a make sense conversion, and keeping the factory frame intact with some decent body panel metal fab work!
Very clean and respectable build!
