My speaker upgrades started right after taking possession of my new 2018 JLU with the 5" base system. My goal was to get a quality sounding system without adding an amp or sub woofer. I also wanted to avoid modifying the sound bar, but did eventually to accommodate Infinity Kappa 62ix 6.5"...
