+1 on sending off for an oil analysis a few times. Nothing builds confidence like letting your own data guide the way.
pretty typical driving for me on all my cars. Many years ago I settled on changing every 10k miles with full synthetic and good filter (and easy to remember) . Only change...
Same issue here on a '18 JLU Sahara. Squeal started at about 20k miles, now more regular in winter and at 25k miles, mostly when brakes are cold. Drives the wife batty when I'm pulling out of driveway. Pads have a lot of meat on them, but thinking about swapping out for the PowerStop Z16's...
I went w/6cylinder for the following reasons:
- Tried and true engine that's been out a while

I probably should have taken in back in for the sw update, but instead used my OBD scanner to clear the code. If it comes back, I’ll take it in.
Still love the bare bones Jeeps. But if I’m going fully native, I end up gravitating towards the CJ7. Now I have one of each, new Sahara JL and and older CJ7. The wife hates th CJ, which makes me love it all the more.
IMO. Automatic is inherently safer than manual, particularly for a newer driver. One less thing to think about when driving. That’s what I bought for my daughter.
a buddy however bought his daughter a manual with the thought that if she has to have a hand on the stick shift, it can’t be on her...
